Neuromodulators

  • Neuromodulators (Dysport, Xeomin and Botox) are used to relax specific muscles of the face to produce a softening effect to the lines of the area. The neuromodulator is injected into a muscle that causes a temporary reduction in the strength of the muscle contraction. This effect may start to occur in 3 to 4 days after injection with full results seen in 14 days. The duration of the relaxation effect on average is 3 to 4 months, however, this can be a shorter or longer length based on the individual.

  • Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that's not always related to heat or exercise. It can have a profound effect on ones quality of living. With the correct treatment it can last up to 9 months. Can be covered by insurance.

  • Bruxism is a problem in which you unconsciously grind or clench your teeth. You may grind or clench your teeth during the day, or at night while you sleep. Leaving you with muscle soreness, fatigue or enlarged masseters.

    The masseter muscle runs through the rear part of the cheek from the temporal bone to the lower jaw on each side and closes the jaw in chewing.

    Dysport/Xeomin/Botox can help relax the masseter muscle, in turn relieving pain or tension from grinding or clenching your teeth.

    Causes of an enlarged masseter muscle can include:

    •stress/nervousness

    •TMJ disorders

    •gum chewing

    •clenching/grinding teeth

    *Dosing depends on the strength of the muscle.

    *Lasts between 4 to 9 months, sometimes longer.

    *Can contour the jawline/face for the "V" line slimming effect.

  • Avoid blood thinners such as alcohol, aspirin products, NSAIDS, high dose garlic, ginseng, gingko or other herbal supplements up to three days before treatment but first talk to your family doctor. If you are on any other blood thinning products please consult your family doctor before treatment. You are not a candidate for Dysport, Xeomin or Fillers if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event such as a wedding or vacation. 

    *Additionally, injections must be booked 2 weeks before or after a COVID-19 vaccine.*

    • Contracting the muscles that were injected every few minutes for one hour to ensure the neuromodulator is absorbed into the muscle injected

    • Stay upright for 3 hours post treatment to avoid migration into another muscle

    • Avoid massaging or manipulating the area 6 hours after injection

    • Avoid strenuous physical exercise, hot tubs, saunas, facials 24 hours after treatment

    • Avoid alcohol and ASA/NSAIDS for 24 hours after treatment

Advanced Facial Peels

  • An advanced facial peel also known as a chemical peel is a treatment used to improve skin texture and tone. Facial skin is mostly treated to help correct the skins pH. Peels are intended to remove the outermost layers of the skin, to breakdown dead skin cells causing exfoliation and promoting new skin growth. You can choose from a light peel or a more aggressive peel. To achieve best results 3-6 peels are recommended.

  • Advanced facial peels are used to treat fine lines, hyper-pigmentation, diminish pore size and allows for medical grade skin care products to penetrate deeper.

    Depending on the peel, peels are recommended every 2 to 4 weeks, with best results seen after 3 peels.

    • Lactic Peels are derived from milk and used for sensitive and darker skinned types.

    • Glycolic 20%, 30% 40% peels are derived from sugar cane and used on normal aging/elements exposed and some acne skin types.

    • Salicylic 20%, 30% peels are derived from willow bark and used for acne/oily prone skin types.

    • Redness, scabing, swelling

    • Have taken oral acne medication in the past 6 months

    • Avoid shaving the area that will be treated 24 hours before your peel

    • Stop retinols, AHA’s or BHA’s (acids) 1 week before peel

    • Wear SPF daily

    • Skin may be red or tight (feels like a sunburn)

    • Follow your nurses directions regarding post care with medical grade skin care products

    • Avoid picking, rubbing, scratching or touching the skin

    • Avoid makeup for 24 hours after your peel

    • No sweating for 24 hours after your peel

    • Re-start AHA’s, BHA’s (acids) or retinols 3-5 days after a lighter peel and 7-14 days after a more aggressive peel

Cosmetic Teeth Whitening

  • Cosmetic Teeth Whitening is a treatment designed to whiten the colour of your teeth using a dental grade peroxide gel and a LED light. Go two to six shades whiter in one session with best results having two sessions six weeks apart. One full session includes 3, 20 minute intervals under the LED light. Touch up sessions include 1-2, 20 minute intervals under the LED light.

  • Microneedling or Collagen Induction Therapy induces collagen production and actually strengthens the epidermis. PCDC Injections

  • Phosphatidylcholine deoxycholic acid (PCDC) also known as lipodissolve, lipolysis, mesotherapy or fat dissolving injections aim to destroy fat cells by damaging the fat cells plasma membrane, allowing the fatty acids inside the cell to be broken down and be naturally removed by the lymphatic system. In simple terms the injections liquify fat and allow the body to remove it naturally by triggering an inflammatory response. The fat dissolving product is injected directly into the subcutaneous fat with a needle. The results are permanent.

Vitamin B12

  • Vitamin B12 helps your body use fat and carbohydrates for energy and make new protein. It is also important for normal blood, cells, and nerves. Sometimes we may find ourselves too busy to maintain eating a balanced diet and we may be feeling the effects associated with not getting the right amount of Vitamin B12. You can experience changes in your memory, fatigue, depression, headache, balance, irritability, constipation and even heart palpitations.

  • Vitamin B12 can provide you with increased energy levels in turn helping your mood and productivity.

    Vitamin B12 IM injections are for therapeutic use only, this is not for medical purposes, not for disease prevention or medically indicated for a deficiency or known medical condition. Simply, to help give you an added boost.

  • Injections are recommended for every 4 weeks. Not everyone is a candidate and a consultation is required.
